Carlo Ang is a first-generation Chinese-Filipino documentary filmmaker and commercial video producer based in Boston. His portfolio ranges from short documentaries to branded video content, collaborating with companies like Converse, Warby Parker, and Figma. Carlo’s documentary Lola has been screened at multiple film festivals including the 2025 Independent Film Festival Boston, 2025 Boston Asian American Film Festival, 2025 Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, and the 2025 San Diego Filipino Film Festival, where it was awarded Best Documentary. Before moving to Boston to get an MFA in Film, he worked as the Video Creative Manager at Warby Parker in NYC, where he developed and executed the company’s video content marketing strategy.

As a lifelong skateboarder, his passion for filmmaking was originally influenced by the skate videos he watched growing up. Inspired by their distinct and scrappy style, his creative approach is practical, playful, and authentic.

Carlo has an MFA in Film and Media Art from Emerson College. He also has a BA degree in Media Studies from San Diego State University.
